Thoughts about the Rapture of the Church

Here are some thoughts about the Rapture of the Church...

•  The Rapture Is Imminent.  It is the next event on God's prophetic calendar.  There are no "signs" to look for or fulfilled prophecies that must take place before the rapture occurs.
  

• Only Christians Will Be Raptured.  All the unsaved throughout the world's nations will be left behind.
  

• All Christians Will Be Raptured.  No genuine believers will be left behind.  Both spiritual and carnal Christians will be caught up in the rapture to face the Judgment Seat of Christ to receive or lose rewards based on how we lived our lives as Christians.
  

• The Rapture Ushers In The Seven-Year Tribulation Period.  The Tribulation period is seven years of God's wrath poured out on this Christ-rejecting world.  It is a time of purification of God's nation, Israel.  It is such a tribulation that the world has never known nor will ever know at any other period of history.
  

• At The Rapture, The Holy Spirit's Restraining Influence On The World Is Removed.  This fearful event will have a profound effect upon the moral and spiritual condition of the world.  No more Christians or Holy Spirit influence, thus the world will deteriorate rapidly into a nearly totally godless planet.
  

• No One That Rejected The Gospel Before The Rapture Will Be Saved After The Rapture.  In spite of what some best-selling novels and "Christian" movies suggest, everyone who heard/understood the Gospel and rejected it will not be able to be saved after the rapture of the saints.  Study 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 very carefully.
  

• At The Rapture, The Bodies Of The Living Will Be Immediately Transformed Into "Glorified" Bodies, And The Bodies Of Those Who Died In Christ Will Be Resurrected With "Glorified" Bodies.  This is all one event happening simultaneously.
  

• The Anti-Christ Will NOT Be Revealed Until After The Rapture Of The Saints.  Thus, our focus should be upon the coming of Christ in the air for His saints, rather than on trying to figure out who the antichrist is.
  

• Anyone And Everyone Who Tries To Set A Date For The Return Of Christ Or The Rapture Of The Church is Wrong.  It is not for us to know the time of Christ's coming for His saints.  The rapture could take place today, this week, this month, this year, or may not be for another 500 years.  What we, as Christians, need to be sure of is that we are actively living for our Lord and diligently seeking to win others to Christ.
